Indexation policy

Every year, the board of the PDN pension fund decides whether or not to pay a pension supplement (indexation). It is never certain beforehand whether the board will grant a supplement in a particular year and how much it will be, so we also call this “conditional indexation”.
The conditional supplement is an element of the pension that is not paid from the employer’s or employee’s pension contributions. The money for the supplement comes from the returns earned by investing the pension funds.
The supplement is very important for maintaining purchasing power and is not the same for everyone. Supplements are calculated differently for pensioners than for employees still accruing pension. You can find out more about this in the brochure “Supplements” on the right-hand side of the screen.
Chapter 2 of the regulations gives detailed information about PDN’s indexation policy. If that doesn’t answer your questions, send an e-mail to the PDN Pension Desk by clicking on the “Ask a Question” button.
