Divorce and Pension 

There is a close connection between love and pension. Love leads to marriage, to cohabitation, to having children and to many more things that have a bearing on your pension in one way or another. But what happens if the love comes to an end? One in three marriages in the Netherlands ends in divorce. What does that mean for your and your partner’s pension? Many people have never thought about this. If you re-marry after divorce the partner’s pension for your new partner is a lot lower.
