Marriage, cohabitation and children

For most people, marriage and pension are two completely different worlds. Getting married is mainly something you do when you’re young and otherwise you probably enter into another form of partnership. Pension, on the other hand, is something for your old age – in most people’s opinion at least. But there is a connection between the various forms of partnership and pension.
The pension is not just about the “twilight years” of a DSM employee, but also the (partner’s) pension of his or her partner, or the orphan’s pension of his or her children.
Read more about pensions and the various forms of partnership in the brochure “Marriage and Cohabitation” on the right. If you have a question about this you can also e-mail our Pension Desk using the “Ask a Question” button. Or to contact us by another means use the “Contact” button. You can find detailed information about marriage and cohabitation and your pension in the second chapter of the regulations.
