Reducing your Hours 

There may be all sorts of reasons why you want to work less at a particular time in your life or perhaps want to take temporary unpaid leave. During this period you earn less and so you don’t accrue as much pension. It’s good to be aware of that. There are ways of making up this pension deficit.
