Value transfer to another pension fund
If you worked for DSM in the past, you have accrued pension with the PDN pension fund. So you have the option to transfer the pension accrued with PDN to the pension fund of your new employer. This is called value transfer. It may be advantageous to do that. It’s also easier for you to manage, because when you retire you won’t receive pension from two or more pension funds but, for example, only from the fund of your last employer.
You can read about how value transfer works in the brochure “Value transfer to another pension fund” on the right-hand side of the screen.
If you want to apply for value transfer, you must do so through the pension fund of your new employer and not through PDN. If you have questions about value transfer in connection with PDN, go to “Ask a Question” and send an e-mail to the Pension Desk.
